The Precision Turbo Next Gen 6870 is rated at 1,200 horsepower and runs on a ball bearing. Its CEA (Competition Engineered Aerodynamics) compressor wheel is machined from a closed-die forging in 2618 aluminium, and the redesigned compressor cover is machined for better flow: Precision quotes 10% more airflow and higher efficiency at high pressure ratios than the previous version. What your build makes depends on the rest of the engine and the tune.
Choose the compressor cover, turbine housing and A/R above. Each combination is a complete turbocharger with its own Precision part number, built to order. Turbine housings come in these A/R sizes:
- T3 stainless V-band in/out: 1.05
- T4 open inlet, V-band outlet: 0.68, 0.81 or 0.96
- T4 divided inlet, V-band outlet: 0.84, 1.00, 1.15, 1.32, 1.52 or 1.75
- T4 stainless V-band in/out: 0.81 or 0.96
